We had an amazing advanced class tonight focusing on public access training! During these sessions, our pups practice: • Obedience skills in real-world settings • Confidence building with new smells, sounds, and surfaces • Holding a down-stay even with distractions (yes, even off-leash!) • Walking calmly past people, dogs, and shopping carts on a loose leash We couldn’t be prouder of how far these dogs have come—and we love hearing the compliments from strangers who notice their progress! 👉 Eve

🐾 Amazing Group Class at Lowe’s Last Night! 🐾 Huge shout-out to the incredible owners who showed up and put in the work. The progress these dogs are making truly speaks for itself. Not many people can drop the leash in a public place, walk away, and have their dog calmly hold position — but these teams did just that. I’m beyond proud of how far these dogs have come and even more proud of the dedication their owners have shown. The relationship between handler and dog continues to grow stronger

Our Advanced Group Class had an absolute blast showing off their skills before the year comes to a close 🐾💪 I couldn’t be prouder of these owners and their pups. The progress they’ve made together is incredible, and it’s so rewarding to watch these dogs grow, gain confidence, and truly enjoy training. This is a perfect example of what consistency and follow-through at home can achieve: ✨ Fully off-leash ✨ Ignoring other dogs, treats, and toys ✨ Locked-in focus on their owners ✨ Clean off-leash

✨ Board & Train Progress Update! ✨ Just a little recap of what our Board & Train pups have accomplished so far after only a week and a half of training here at Got Your Six Dog Training! 🐾 We focus on all the basic obedience commands — sit, down, place, heel, and more — but we also take it a step further by adding real-life distractions to truly proof each command. After all, anyone can teach a sit or a down, but if your dog can’t perform it around distractions, what’s the real purpose of obedi

Day 5 of training with Hazel the chocolate lab. Hazel came to us with prior training so she already had some skills. Owner’s of Hazel wanted her worked on off leash e collar training. We felt comfortable on day 5 to go ahead and let her fully off leash. Let’s just say she did amazing. Hazel is a high prey driven dog who would lose all focus over even a bird. We have been working on the those focus skills as you can see in the video, even as I turn the other way she still follows. We use a ton of

A big thank you to Caden for all the help today! 😊 Here’s a peek at a few of the things we tested for: • Social Attraction & Following – How eager each puppy is to follow and engage with people. ✨ Big milestone for Steve and Irma! ✨ Both of these amazing pups just wrapped up their public access training—and we couldn’t be prouder. 🐾 When they first came to us, Steve struggled with aggression and low confidence, and Irma had her own reactivity challenges. ✨ Can your dog hold a down while you walk out the door… and come back in? ✨ Luna, Clover, and Atlas are absolutely crushing their down-stay, even when we walk completely out of sight and return. 👏🐾 This exercise is all about impulse control and following through with commands, which plays a huge role in reducing: • jumping on people at the door • over-excitement when someone comes home • reactivity and anxious behaviors One of these dogs came to us with severe reactivity, and another had previ
